Dr Elizabeth Gardiner (Liz Gardiner)

Trading as Cultural Planning Practice, Liz Gardiner is an artist, teacher, academic and free-lance consultant specialising in cultural planning.  As a director of Fablevision, she develops and delivers case study examples of cultural planning in practice – often in partnership with other third sector organisations, community development trusts or local authorities. Liz is founder member, and a Director of Fablevision, which has been working to develop cultural planning approaches in various policy agendas for the last four decades. Instrumental in the setting up of cultural networks in Glasgow and Renfrewshire as well as national and international networks (e.g. the Arts and Communities Association for Scotland and Banlieues d’Europe) she currently serves on the board of SENScotland, Scotland’s Network organisation for Social Enterprises. Holding a PhD from UWS, her academic research is conducted in collaboration with various local artists/organisations, national and UK wide projects as well as the pan European River Cities Network.



Trent Kim is a Glasgow-based South Korean-born British artist and academic who predominantly works with lighting in the context of performance. He is a full time lecturer in New Media Art at the University of the West of Scotland, and guest lectures at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Also, currently, he is completing his PhD research project on the art of Lumia at the Royal College of Art in London. Robert Mackie is a multimedia artist based in Scotland and his work focuses around combining fine art fundamentals and digital methods to develop new approaches. Currently working as a freelance artist on multiple digital projects, and as an Associate Lecturer at The University of the West of Scotland teaching and assisting with motion graphics, time based mediums and collaboration with other disciplines
