“Embroidering is not just about embroidery and cooking is not just about a tasty dish. These used to be social activities which helped build social relations and the feeling of sisterhood”
“Creative Waves – Baltic Sisterhood for Change” project partnership has the pleasure to invite you and your representatives to our international webinar.
At the webinar we will hear from two renowned expert speakers:
Dr Agnieszka Jacobson -Cielecka (curator and design critic, Dean of the Design Department at SWPS University in Warsaw and the co-author of the curriculum at the School of Form/Poland) and
Lissa Holloway-Attaway, PhD (Associate Professor in Media Arts, Aesthetics and Narration, in the Division of Game Development at the University of Skövde, Sweden).
Within the project in question we aim at creating a digital and physical space for creative women to meet, co-operate, exchange, gain more strength and confidence. We make traditions and crafts meet new technologies, intangible cultural heritage meet the digital sphere for women to continue and develop their hobbies in a safe and friendly environment and hopefully open up to entrepreneurship. The goal is to support and empower women for the society to be healthier and more resilient, also in environmental terms. On the way we promote Baltic identity, EUSBSR aspects of the European Green Deal and Sustainable Development Goals.
Our partnership is composed of The Baltic Sea Cultural Centre in Gdańsk /Poland, Euroregion Baltic, Estonian Women Studies and Research Centre ENUT and Kaliningrad team/Russian Federation under the leadership of Intercult Productions from Sweden.
We do hope to meet you at the webinar. We would be grateful if you could share the invitation with organisations, institutions etc. who could benefit from the meeting and the project.
Looking forward to meeting you on February 28th, 2022 and on our social media throughout the project and beyond.
